August 14, 2007 (Greenville, SC) – The Pickwick announced today that it has completed its soda shop construction and renovation and plans to unveil the 1949 soda fountain to the community during an Open House on Saturday, August 25. The 60-years old business was recently purchased by two brothers, Chad and Kelly Odom, from their father and pharmacist, Dwight Odom. With their father, the two brothers have incorporated a soda fountain into the pharmacy and will be the third generation of Odoms to manage the local business that was founded in 1947 by their grandfather and great uncle. ...more

July 19, 2007 (Greenville, SC) – The Pickwick Pharmacy announced today that it is searching for the oldest resident in Greenville County to receive the first honorary banana split from its new soda fountain. The soda fountain at The Pickwick is scheduled to open in August 2007 and will be unveiled during an open house for the community at that time. During the open house, cars from the 50s and 60s will be on display, there will be a straw-cutting ceremony, and 50 cents ice cream cones will be served in the afternoon. ...more

May 3, 2007 (Greenville, SC) – The Pickwick Pharmacy announced today that it has hired Samuel O'Keefe Ray (Keefe) as a pharmacist at its Augusta Road location. Ray is a native of Greenville, graduating from Greenville High School, Wofford College, and pharmacy school at MUSC. Ray joins Dwight Odom behind the counter and will be the second pharmacist on staff at The Pickwick. Ray previously worked for two chain drugstores and is excited about working for the locally-owned pharmacy where his wife and her family have been longtime customers. ...more
